ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Candidates of the following categories will be elegible for admission on open merit other than the seats reserved for FATA / FANA (Domicile)

Science students are required to wear overalls during the practical exams.

  • Federal Government employees residing in Islamabad / Rawalpindi.
  • Residents of Islamabad Capital Territory.
  • Diplomats stationed at Islamabad.

A candidate who has passed her last examination from an institute not located in Islamabad and Federal Area shall produce residence certificate from Estate Office / CDA or any other valid legal document in support of her residence claim. The admissions will be announced once a year (normally in Fall Semester).

AGE LIMIT

The maximum age limit for admission to BS program is 22 years. Any one beyond the age of 22 years shall not be given admission unless the relaxation is granted by the Vice Chancellor (QAU) under special circumstances on the recommendations of the principal concerned.

ELIGIBILITY

  • At least 50% marks in F. Sc.
  • For BS (Computer Science) F.Sc. with Mathematics
  • For BS (Mathematics) F.Sc. with Mathematics
  • Pre-Medical with additional Mathematics
  • A level with Mathematics and Physics or equivalent qualification

MERIT CRITERIA

The merit shall be calculated as per criteria mentioned here under:

Matric / SSC / Equivalent: 30%
F.A / F.Sc / Equivalent: 70%
Merit = (Marks obtained in Matric) / (total Marks) x 30+
(Marks obtained in F.Sc) / (Total Marks)x70

Quota for various categories for admission is already approved in admission policy as under:
Approved Quota:

Quota Percentage
Bonafide Students 30%
Open Merit 57%
FANA /FATA 6%
Disable Quota 2%
Sports 5%
Real daughters of teachers, employees of educational institutions of the setup concerned. 1% seats in every institution in the order of merit amongst themselves over and above the afore mentioned quota.
Transfer cases 2% over and above the afore mentioned quota.

A candidate domiciled in FATA / FANA will not contest for a seat reserved against the allocated quota, if she has qualified HSSC or equivalent from any other institution outside the territorial jurisdiction of FATA / FANA. However after admission process has been completed in case there are any vacant seats under this category, admission may be granted to applicants with FATA FANA domicile.
